Belinyu - The 11th Serumpun Sebalai Scooter Gathering (TSSS) became the largest event for Vespa and scooter fans in Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province (Babel). Riders came from across Babel and from outside provinces such as Jambi, Lampung, Palembang, Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah, and Kebumen.

This annual event has caught the public's attention not only because it brings together automotive communities, but also because it offers a variety of entertainment, cultural, social, and economic activities involving the local community. The presence of participants from different regions also positively impacts tourism and local businesses in Belinyu.

Various events were held during the two-day gathering, starting from a Vespa contest that showcased different types and modifications of scooters, a food festival featuring a variety of local dishes, to music stages and reggae performances that entertained visitors. In addition, the organizers also held social or charity activities as a form of care for the local community.

TSSS XI was also livelier with a community meeting as a communication and coordination forum between scooter communities. It was combined with local cultural dance performances that introduced the richness of Bangka Belitung arts to the guests.

As a way to support the development of young people's creativity, the committee also held coloring contests for kindergarten and elementary school students, as well as singing competitions for kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school levels. The event received an enthusiastic response from participants and parents.

On behalf of the Head of the Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports Office, the Head of Creative Economy Division, Zaiyuni expressed her happiness about the high enthusiasm. According to her, this was one of the communities that could bring together different groups and generations.

He also reminded all participants to keep things orderly and safe, and to follow the rules during the event so that it can run smoothly and leave a positive impression on both the locals and tourists.

Zaiyuni hopes this event will continue in the coming years because it has great benefits, both in strengthening relationships among scooter enthusiasts and boosting the local economy. According to her, the main goal of it is to strengthen the bonds among Vespa lovers in Bangka Belitung and Indonesia, as well as to serve as a reunion and nostalgic gathering for Vespa fans.

“This is a positive activity. Besides strengthening fellowship, it also introduces the beauty of Putat Beach and Belinyu’s tourist attractions to guests from various regions. Hopefully, it will continue and bring benefits to the community,” she said.

With a strong spirit of brotherhood and togetherness, TSSS XI once again proves that the scooter community is not just a hobby, but also capable of contributing to the advancement of tourism and the local economy.
